The iPad

The new Ipad from the developer Apple was launched on the start of the year 2010. Apple wanted to build something between Iphone and a normally laptop device. Its dimensions are 242.8 mm by 189.7 mm and it weights only 0,68 kg (the wi-fi model) or 0,73 kg (the wi-fi and 3G version).

His nice display is one of its great features: it has a 9.7-inch (diagonal) LED-backlit glossy widescreen Multi-Touch display with IPS technology, with a 1024 * 768 pixel resolution at 132 pixels per inch (ppi). A great thing about is that he has a resistant oleophobic coating.

If you are thinking about its memory, it has 3 versions, on 6GB, 32GB, or 64GB flash drive. It doesn’t have a SD slot. iPhone OS 3.2 is the operating system on this device. The processor used is of course an Apple one, custom designed, by 1GHz.

The Ipad has both an accelerometer and an ambient light sensor.

Music lovers can be glad to know that it supports: HE-AAC, Protected AAC, MP3, Audibles, and WAV. It is configured to don’t let you use the music volume above a limit. The Ipad was also made to watch videos, so you can use these types of video format: .m4v, .mp4, and .mov, MPEG-4 videos, the avi format etc.

Everyone checks his e-mail more then one time per day. If you use the Ipad ,you can view different file formats, starting with .jpg, .tiff, .gif (images); .doc and .docx (Microsoft Word); .htm and .html (web pages); to other Microsoft office documents like .ppt or xls .

The tablet has language and dictionary support for English, French, German, Russian, Italian, and Spanish.

Ipad has a lithium-polymer battery, which helps you use the tablet (listen music, watch videos, use applications, surf the internet) up to ten hours.

The eco lovers will be glad to know that this device is environmentally friendly, it has no mercury or arsenic and is highly recyclable.

Apple created all sorts of applications to use with this device (some of them are common with the Iphone or Ipod ones), like ibook and iwork.

In the box, Ipad comes with an USB Power Adapter and a Dock Connector to USB Cable. But you can buy other accessories too, like iPad Keyboard Dock, iPad Case, iPad Dock or an iPad Camera Connection Kit.

The 16 GB version of Ipad costs $499, the 32 GB costs $599 and the 64GB costs $699. The most expensive is the wi-fi and 3G version with the 64 GB memory, it costs $829.
